Stocking Advice (40BR)

For color and activity, consider 1 azure damsel, 1 purple firefish or 1 blue dudgeon dart fish, pink spot goby. These will be very peaceful and get along fine with your current stock. I would not recommend a sifting goby as you need a lot of sand for just 1. Even though they may eat some prepared foods they primarily survive off of the microfauna in the sand. I would not put a 6 line in as it is highly likely to upset your current crew. I would also shy away from a mandarin on that size tank as well unless you are prepared to constantly supply pods.

+1 for midas blenny. I use to have one in my 40b but he jumped out and turned into fish jerky so make sure you have a lid!

I know this is late so sorry for asking, but I have a 40b as well and was looking into the Midas blenny. Was he agressive at all?

Mine was a little territorial at times but not bad compared to most fish, mine was awesome it would even chase his own tail at times like a dog until I left the lid off and he jumped out.
