In a few months im planning to start my first saltwater aquarium. I just want to know if my fish and invertebrates are ok for a 40 gallon tank. Im planning to buy 2 bar dartfish, 2 ocellaris clownfish, 1 six line wrasse, and 2 banggi cardinal fish. After a few weeks ima buy my cuc. 3 turbo snails, 3 trochus snails, 1 fighter conch, 4 blue legged hermit crabs, feather duster worms, and a porcelain crab.

Sixline might try to eat worm. The only reason I would think the worm wouldbe safe is due to its size, if you get a large one. But sixlines naturally eat qorms and copepods, so small/tiny fan worma and feather dusters would almost certainly become food. Also, if you get a sixline wrasse, that would basically limit you to only having the sixline and no other wrasses. Even if it is a model citizen and peacekeeper like mine is, it will not for any reason tolerate another wrasse. Hence why I had to move my sixline from my 29 to the only other tank I have -a 10 gallon - after my hope that he would be peaceful towards another wrasse (in this case a fairy wrasse) was completely destroyed within 10 seconds of putting the fairy wrasse in the tank.

So if i took out the wrasse would everything be good

I mean you could still get it, but for sure if you ever want something like a fairy wrasse or a flasher wrasse, the sixline would either have to go, or a fight to the death would occur, probably with the sixline being the victor.

So maybe get something else. As for if other wrasses would try to eat any feather dusters, I am not sure. Like I said, if you get some of the larger feather dusters, they would probably be fine due to being too big to eat. But if you are talking the super small ones that many of us get as hitchhikers on live rock, they would probably get eaten by wrasses.

Good luck with this adventure!

The six line wrasse is not a good choice. They are quite aggressive, and would probably eat your worms as @El_Guapo13 said. Flasher wrasses will not eat them if you want a wrasse. I would hold off a little while on the conch, as they need a lot of food and get pretty big. Maybe hold off on the feather dusters too until the tank is a little more mature.
