So I just got my saltwater tank up and running after a year and a half of saying I was going to I finally did it. It isn't a big tank I wanted to start small so I can get the fundamentals and chemistry down of the saltwater before I get a big tank. So I have a 20 long and wanted to know what stocking ideas can be suitable for this tank. I want to have a pair of ocellaris clowns. So I know alot of people will say that's enough for just the 20 long but I would like to know if I can add some clean up crew members and if so what would you guys recommend. And if I could stock another fish or so with my pair of clowns what would they be? Give me your ideas and thoughts guys thanks.

I have 2 different 20g tall reef tanks. One in my home and 1 in my classroom.
At home I have 2 clowns and a pair of Yellow Watchman Gobies with a pistol shrimp, along with a peppermint shrimp and 10 astrea snails and about 20 hermits.
In my classroom 20g I have a pair of clowns and a azure damsel. I also have a pencil urchin, peppermint shrimp and about 20 hermits.
My tanks also have BTAs and a variety of corals. The tank at home has more sps and lps, while the classroom tank of more softies.

You can definitely have 4 small fish. Be careful about small fish that may jump (firefish, blennies, some gobies) without a screen top.

Good fish to add to a 20g with a pair of clowns: cherub angel, lawnmower blenny, azul damsel, green chromis, watchman goby. You could also try a small dottyback, yellowtail damsel or even a pair of pajama or banghai cardinals.

Thank you for stating the no lid part because I do not have a lid and did not know of saltwater fish that jump I know of freshwater fish as I have been doing that for some time now but not saltwater. Well I definitely want to have some clean up crew to help with left over food and things like that. Somebody else had mentioned the chromis damsels to me before...maybe it's a sign? But I will do research on all the fish you named and see what I like the best and would suit the setup I have best. Like I said I do not want to go crazy this is first salt tank I just want to get the hang of it all.
