Stocking for a 55 gallon tank?

Coral down the line definitely and a clean up crew, possibly stuff like shrimp and starfish

1 purple firefish
1 black cap basslet
1 pair of wheeler gobies w candy cane pistol shrimp
Trio of scissor tail dartfish
1 yellow fin flasher wrasse
1 long nose hawkfish

I would put all of them in!

There are no rules for stocking. You just need good filtration and be wise on your selection.

The list above has cool fish that live at different places in the tank.

Bottom dwellers, rock dwellers, cave dwellers, and mid and upper level open water swimmers.

That is a mild stocking IMO. Others may disagree.

good list! hawkfish last. they can be problematic....
