Hey everyone. I’m trying to finalize my fish stocking list and need some advice from people more experienced than me.

I have a Redsea Reefer 170 (43g incl sump) and plan on having mostly euphyllia corals.

Here is the list I came up with. The clowns are already in the tank and are a mated pair.

1. Midas blenny
2. Purple Fire fish
3. Royal Gamma
4. Watchman goby and pistol shrimp
5. Mocha storm clownfish (already in tank)
6. Frostbite Bullethole clownfish (already in tank)

Will these fish go well together? Appropriate amount of fish? What order should I add them in? Anything else I am not thinking of?

Thanks for the help.

I don't see any problems with that list. I will say that firefish seem to be more out and about if you have a pair of them. They can go in whatever order you would like.

My only other advice would be to have qt setup if possible or buy from a vendor that does it for you.

Should I do two fire fish, or is that too many fish? Instead, is there another single fish you recomend?

Firefish are going to produce so little waste so it won't matter.

Do you have a skimmer or refugium setup?

The royal might mess with the fire fish i would recommend 2 so that the firefish can feel more safe. royal grammas sometime get weird with the fire fish because same patterns but some don't care at all. Fire fish feel more comfortable together is what I'm told. My royal hated my fire fish but mine was a firefish not a purple.
All else looks good.

Thanks. Should I pass on the royal and swap it with something else?

I absolutely love royal grammas they are my favorite fish. I would always recommend one. Your tank is bigger than mine so they might be less involved with each other. like I mentioned in a pair the firefish are said to do better.

I would get some zoanthids if your a beginner with corals and then go on from there but do what you want to and get what you want to, yolo.
