Hoping for some help.

I know for sure I want a clown fish, possibly a pair.

My DT is 37 gallons and I plan on adding LPS.

What are some other good suggestions for a small rimless tank? I was thinking possibly a goby and shrimp but was thinking they may not swim around much and not much to look at (if hiding under rocks)

Suggestions? I want 4-5 fish total I think

Wetmorella wrasses are pretty neat little fish with a nice personality(usually). You'd be surprised how big of an impact the shrimp/goby pair can have though. I have a half dozen shrimp gobies of various species in my 125 and see all but the black ray who insists on living in my overflow.

I have two Randall's, two Yasha's, and two Black Ray's. I really like the Randall's the best. They're definitely the most active and have a nice color pattern. The Yasha's tend to hide more until I feed. The Black Ray are nice because they're cheap but they seem to be more prone to jumping. They're each paired with one or two candy pistol shrimp. Only the yasha's shared a burrow for a while. My Randall's just tolerate each other.
Another smaller fish that I really like is my pygmy hawkfish. They're kind of hit or miss if they're going to be out and active or just hide all day. Luckily mine is very active and reacts to my presence (food association)

A pr of clowns may limit other open-water fish. Some possibilities may include:
Royal Gramma
Yellow assessor
Stigmatura blenny
Neon goby
Watchman goby/pistol shrimp pr
Firefish
