Trying to find out how many of each Chromis (Chromises) I can add to this tank:
Blue Reef Chromis
Blue Green Chromis
Black & White Chromis
Black Axil Chromis
Sunshine Chromis
Agile Chromis

Current fish already picked out:
-2 Ocellaris Clowns
-Whitetail Bristletooth Tang (iffy on this due to size of tank and if I do it Will be the last fish in my tank)
-2 Fire Shrimp
-Snails and maybe a few Hermits

My setup will be:
-Marine Land 75 gallon (probably going mixed reef route)
-2 Mars aqua 160
-Tunze Comline 9012
-Aqua Clear 110
-2 Rossmont Mover M1200
-75 lb Marco dry rock
-80 lb special grade live sand

Thanks for your help been reading a lot on this forum the past 3 months to gain knowledge of first hand experience with certain fish and equipment.

Welcome. I keep 4 bg chromis in my 75. I had five. I think it and my maroon got into it. They definitely had a pecking order. I'm not sure how all those would do together. Sorry @4FordFamily any insight

I see... but I would think the maroon would be the cause of the fighting. If I’m not wrong they are more aggressive than Ocellaris, right?
I think My main concern is if the different types of chromis (chromises) I have listed would get along together and with the other fish. And also how many I should put in a tank with the others as to not over stock the tank.

Chromis are a damsel clowns are a damsel. The largest chromis went after the clown. After a few days the clown started to fight back. Now my clown rules the tank.

I had all five chromis together for five years with no issues. There is a pecking order in my group of chromis. I'm not sure how different species of chromis and number would coexist

Chromis are quite aggressive to each other. Some species are much more aggressive than others. Although they’re technically damsels some range in temperament from nasty damsel to docile chromis. I worry that this would lead to bullying. Damsels tends to make territories and defend them darting in and out of rocks whereas chromis swim out in the open in the top of the water column by and large. The aggression would be worse because they may be in more frequent contact with each other (although some species will behave more like damsels).

Axil and blue green may not like each other and single each other out. Bicolor (black/white) are typically more docile but don’t usually school with them unless there are many and even then they tend to do their own thing.

However, in a busy tank with ample room it could work. It’s tough to know for sure with such aggressive fish.

I appreciate the input so far. Any ideas on other more peaceful and colorful fish I could add instead of chromis? I know I like the Helfrichi. Any suggestions on others.

I always love an orchid dottyback. Typically not as nasty as their cohorts. Flame hawkfish, nearly any wrasse but male melanarus are stunning especially for the price, yellow watchman goby, etc

Oh wow. The wrasse family is gorgeous. Thank you for the suggestion. I really like the carpenter’s wrasse.

Ok so I have a new question. I currently have my 75 gallon with:

2 ocellaris clowns
1 purple firefish
1 blood shrimp
1 skunk cleaner shrimp
12 trochus snails
5 blue legged hermit crabs

I’m going to be adding:
1 Male mccoskers wrasse
1 female mccoskers wrasse
1 white tail bristletooth tang

looking to find out if I can add a yellow prawn goby. And when I should add before the wrasses and tang? Or After wrasses before tang?

thank you for your time and help.
