I am doing a saltwater tank with my 32 gallon biocube and I have ideas for my fish and clean up crew and was wondering if I could get some feedback and suggestions on what I chose.

The fish i want are, 2 clownfish, 1 royal gramma, 1 yellow watchman goby, 2 dartfish, and 1 red fromia starfish
Clean up crew im thinking on is, 1 cleaner shrimp, 1 emerald crab, 4 blue legged hermits, 2 turbo snails, 2 astraea snails, and 1 scarlett hermit.
Another site sent me this as a clean up crew option but I thought it was too much-
20 Dwarf Ceriths
6 Nassarius vibex
8 Florida Ceriths
8 Nerites
1 Chaeto
1 Gracilaria or Ulva or both

Thanks for any and all feedback! This is my first saltwater tank, but I have experience with freshwater.

I would stay away from the fromia star until your tank is established. Also, are you planning to get coral?

Would say that stocking list will work. Add the dartfish at the same time or else they might end up fighting. And I would skip the starfish...would likely starve to death, especially in that size tank. They don't do well in captivity.

Okay! Which clean up crew do you recommend out of the ones I posted?

That was my plan and yes I do plan on having corals. Which clean up crew out of 3 would you recommend?

That all sounds pretty good just remember to slowly build up your cuc as more food becomes available to them.
Which clean up crew out of the 2 I posted would you recommend? The first one I decided on my own and the second one a different site told me that’s what’s best for my tank but it seemed like a lot

I'd go with yours, it's a very good starting point you can always add to later. I agree the store recommendation is a little much.

I like the first one, get rid of the emerald crab(unless you want to feed it individually or if you have bubble algae).
I’d like to keep the crab if possible. What food is best for it and is bubble algae something I can add to the tank?

You can feed it mysis shrimp or pellets or even nori and no don't add bubble algae to your tank, you'll wish you never had, it's a pest.

Okay thanks for the info! I feel better knowing most the stuff I want will be fine for my tank. I’m always nervous about overstocking

If would put the royal gramma last in the tank. I put mine in a 32G biocube few weeks ago any other fish i added after they tried to attack. I have plenty of rock work, but it became very territorial. Fish have their own personalities, but i wouldn't risk it.

I stocked mine with 2 clowns
waited 2 weeks
added pair wheeler's goby/tiger pistol shrimp
then waited 2 weeks and added my royal gramma

Just give you an idea how i started out. of course make sure ur levels are good and tanks cycled.

+1 Royal Grammas can be jerks, get a small one and add it last.

Also IDK if it is just mine but he loves making caves in the sand. Have witnessed him picking sand up in his mouth making a new cave and throwing it in a pile. Must be part goby, pretty cool doesn't mess with my corals.

u know i saw mine living in the sand last night. but i think the pistol shrimp made him leave :c

might add a few smaller rocks make some more "caves" for him to live in that arent on the sand bed. There are a few now but guess he doesnt like them? lol
