I plan on stocking my reefer (relatively) slowly over the next few weeks. I currently have 2 ocellaris clowns and a royal gramma in my Biocube which will be moving over. Based on some of live aquaria's information and my wife's preferences, I'm looking at the following to add:

- Coral beauty
- Midas blenny
- Flame hawkfish
- Melanarus wrasse
- Foxface or tang (kole or yellow)
- Mandarin (down the road once I can have pods established)

Thoughts? Is there room for more than that or is 9 fish a decent number?

9 is about as many fish as I would put in a tank of that size (I have 6 in my RSR 250). They all need to find a sleeping spot/home so it’s not only about bio-load. I would however consider the cleaning aspect. Lawnmower Blennies are a great little worker for example. Possibly a Goby if you want something to move sand.

I had a lawnmower blenny a number of years ago when I had an outbreak of hair algae. It wiped the algae out but I think it ate itself to death eating so much so fast.

I’ve always liked the diamond gobies. Maybe I’ll give one of them a try.
