Hi guys,

In two weeks I'm getting a red sea max 130d, the total aquarium volume is 30 gallons, I plan on 10kg of live rock after the cycle, then fish and slowly live corals, I realise this will be a long process but fully aware of the benefits of fish less cycling, and have done a few on my tropical tanks.

My question is with regards to fish, it seems hard to fine a definitive answer on stocking levels so wanted to ask here, my proposed stock is 2 common clown fish, 1 royal gramma, 1 pyjama cardinal, 1 blue finger star fish and 2-3 blood red shrimp. What do you guys think?

As for live corals, can you suggest a few beginner corals for me? I've been researching like mad but don't want to go in over my head, I would just like a beautiful, healthy reef tank :thumb:

Your help is greatly appreciated!

I have just had a great bonus, a cheque in the post from miss sold ppi, I'm getting a 50 gallon reef tank instead, any sticky ideas for that?

The list you had for the 30 would be fine. You could add a couple more fish if it is uped to a 50. As far as beginner corals, I would go with softies (mushrooms and zoas) and maybe a few LPS (favias and acans) and maybe a hammer, frogspawn, or torch coral. Good luck and Happy Reefing.
