Hi,

Quick question... have I reached my max?

Was thinking of adding 1 more fish possibly Yellow Watchman Goby but not sure it would be too much or even if compatible with what I have. So far these guys are all getting along... knock on wood!:

2 - fancy clowns
1 - Flame Angel
1- Royal Gramma
1 - Sixline Wrasse
1 - Lawnmower Blenny

thanks

This is an answer that we dont like hearing but I have been told as well, it really depends on your system. The filtration capacity and your maintenance schedule determine what bioload you can run. Test Nitrates and Phosphates with high quality test kits and see what you get. If you have elevated levels then you are probably fully stocked. If you get back zeros there is no harm in adding more. Increasing water changes can help ease the bioload of more fish. That being said I dont see a space problem with a YWG since he will spend most of his time in his burrow.

All my numbers are good except nitrates always seem to be around 10.

Test kits using combination of Red Sea and the API'S kits.

Pretty good with keeping up on water changes. Been doing one or two 5g changes weekly.

Have 2 inTank media baskets with Matrix, Chemi-pure Elite also have an IM MINI media reactor midsize running biopellets.... skimmer is Tunze 9004.

Along with space I was concerned with compatability especially with the wrasse and flame. Adding only one more fish was worried about bullying.

If not a YWG.... any other reef safe options with current stock? Wanted something yellow... also like the Yellow Coris Wrasse but not sure that would be a good option either.

Thanks

Your levels are good. In theory adding one more fish should be possible, but in practice may be difficult with your current stock. The sixline, flame angel, and blenny all have potential to be bullies. A yellow watchman may fly under the radar, but a yellow coris wrasse likely will not.

I would say that a YWG would be better than a second wrasse. Flames can be territorial to other grazers like wrasses and six lines can be very aggressive to other wrasses so I would skip a yellow coris. I don't see any problems compatibility problems with a YWG, as long as the Blenny tolerates the addition.

My caution would be towards the blenny, but also the sixline. Some sixlines are fine with other nonwrasses, some will viciously attack any new additions regardless of species or family.
