Hi all, would love to get the opinion and feedback to see if the following stock list is possible my main concern is with the last group. The current list I’m considering is for 150gallon, 5x2x2 which I think would be holding 125 gallon of water with rocks and all, and a 30 gallon sump. I have a reef octopus 200sss elite skimmer, which I believe would be able to support the bioaload. I currently have no corals, but would like to set up a mix reef with clams.

Lineatus wrasse, orange-back fairy wrasse, McCosker’s flasher wrasse, (1 or 2 clownfish), 2 firefish (helfrichi), Royal gramma basslet, midas blenny, 3 Bartlett anthias, green mandarin, ruby red dragonet, yasha white ray shrimp goby, orange stripe prawn goby, yellow tang, yellow eye kole tang, and powder blue.

My concern is if I can add the following fish together with the above list, regal angelfish, flame angel, and a coral beauty.

Would this list work? Is it too many fish? Appreciate the help!

My thoughts

Pbt might be too cramped and aggressive in a 5 ft tank but I've not kept one...

2 firefish would need to be a pair to work out

Midas blenny might harass the firefish and wrasse, but probably not too bad.

Get the regal in and comfortable before adding the dwarfs.

Looks like a fun tank!

Tank is a little small for powder blue.

A regal might have trouble adapting. They can be delicate and retiring. Tangs can also be aggressive on laterally compressed fish.

Try adding the flame and coral beauty simultaneously.

Appreciate the feedback! Seems I’m going to have to rethink the ptb then, I really would like that regal

I have a midas blenny with a flasher wrasse and a helfrichi Fire. Midas pays hardly any attention to them in my 70g. Great Fish Dustin

IMO, 150 is fine for a PBT but of the fishes you like he got to go in last and need to be slightly smaller than the Yellow Tang initially.
I have a small PBT in my 65. He is doing very well and will go into my 320 as the last fish. Was emaciate and Ich ridden when he went into my 65 from Live Aquaria. Fat and well now. The Regal need to be in first of all the flat body fishes.
The smaller shrimp goby may not do well in that tank. You may want to add a few more flasher wrasses. They interact and flashes more.
Regarding dragonette I would add a pair instead of one of each species. Same with small angels

Agreed. My Yellow Tang has been a jerk to my Coral Beauty as of late. Shame too, since they were in the same holding tank for a few weeks at the LFS and added them to my tank at the same time. Strangely enough they still share a long cave at night.

Appreciate your experiences. Might have to rethink my stock list a bit then, I personally like the Regal, but my wife is fond to the PTB and the yellow tang. From what it seems it would have to be one or the other.
