Hey

Having a bit of a think of what fish I want to stock in my Waterbox Frag 145. Tanks 5ft long but shallower than usual tanks.

I currently have in the tank:
2x clowns
Coral banded shrimp
Small CUC

My plan is to add these: (not necessarily in this order btw)

️Bicolour or lawnmower blenny
mandarin (once theres a large pod population)
️coral beauty
️Fox face rabbitfish.
️Scopas tang
️Princess anthias x3
️Yellow tang (doubt I'll actually get once as hard to find in Australia and EXPENSIVE
️Royal Dottyback

Would love to hear others opinions on if this list is okay, over stocked or under etc.

Thanks!

I’d go for a lawnmower blenny as the Escenius genus are known to nip SPS coral. Scopas tangs can get quite tall with full fin extension - What’s the height on the tank?

I'd probably get a different blenny (like a midas), but otherwise the list looks fine. Make sure you get a lid with a shallower tank.
Have thought about a lid but just love the look of not having one plus they cost a dang fortune.

But I understand losing a fish can cost a lot also. Was lucky on my last tank to not loose one from jumping.

Yeah had a lawnmower on my last tank, not that he ever did any lawn mowing though haha.

Tank is 16 inch tall I believe

I personally wouldn’t do a Zebrasoma and instead go for a Foxface with a Ctenochaetus tang.
As for the lid situation, I have a mesh net lid that still makes both of my tanks look rimless.

At what point would you add the foxface?

Did you make the net yourself or buy it pre made?

I bought it then build it so it fit both tanks - I’d add the foxface as one of the first fish as they’re rather skittish but no fish will mess with it either way.

Don't really have any algea in the tank yet (apart from diatoms)

So I'm guessing I'll have to wait until the rocks get a bit of algea going so the foxface can pick away at that first.

My coral vendor has a cool 1' gray leopard shark swimming around his frag tank along with some of the fish on your list. Not recommending this but it's cool till it outgrows the tank.
