So my original stocking list went something like this:

3 azure damsels
mag rabbitfish
purple firefish
horseface blenny
Neon dotty
Convict tang
Tomini tang
Flame angel

Well, rabbitfish died during acclimation, firefish is in QT and ready for display, but I'm down to 1 damsel who tormented/starved the other 2. I'm worried if I put the firefish in DT alone, the blue ******* will harrass him to death as well if they are the only 2 fish in the tank.

What is my best option here? Been trying to catch the last damsel but he's a quick one and I'm not taking rock work apart.

That's a tough one. I'll be curious to see what others say. Ideally the firefish would have gone in before the damsels. Just a few ideas here:

An acclimation box like a critter keeper might help...but...
I would be inclined to catch the damsel and put it in the sump while you introduce other fishes.
If you could add a batch of fish, like the blenny, rabbit, angel, and dotty, that might give the damsel something to worry about besides the new firefish.

Or...it might be totally fine.

Hopefully other fish guys/gals will chime in here.

Hi! Imo I would remove the damsel and take it back to the fish store. I don't keep any damsels including clownfish for this reason. He is already showing agression. You can try a fish trap to catch him, or you may have to remove rock. In my experience an aggressive fish doesn't get any better most of the time.

A 125 should have plenty of space. But it also should have been fine for 3 azures as well...

I had 5 in a 75 before, and I really like the coloring on them. Considering putting the firefish in the fuge for now, picking up 2 more damsels and the dotty, and putting all 4 in DT at the same time. In theory, the more aggressive fish will be squabbling with each other while the firefish goes under the radar. Figure once I get the bigger fish in, the damsels will be worried about them more than the little firefish, idk,
