Hey guys, starting up a 150 gallon and have my stocking list ready to go. So in my 40g I have a clownfish pair and a dragon goby so those will go in as soon as the tank is suitable for life, unfortunately it has to be this way so I hope the clownfish don’t stake a claim on the whole tank and become nuisances, anyways that tangent is over. My list is 3 bangaii cardinals, foxface lo, lyretail anthias (3), blue jaw trigger pair, jester goby, yellow tang, powder blue tang, ruby red dragonet, yellow watchman goby w/ a mantis shrimp, mccoskers flasher wrasse. Please tell me which order to add these in and throw in any advice you have. Is it over stocked, can I add more fish, do any of these fish have little known quirks, fish suggestions, additions, substitutions, subtractions, etc. thanks!

In the order I would add them (make sure to quarantine for at least a month between additions!). I'm unsure if this is overstocked or not.:
3 bangaii cardinals (buy these captive bred, you will most likely end up with a pair of fish, or one fish depending on the sexes of the trio you buy)
mccoskers flasher wrasse
lyretail anthias (3) (buy these fellas an autofeeder and save yourself the pain of feeding 6x a day)
yellow watchman goby w/ pistol shrimp
ruby red dragonet (check to make sure there's enough pods, being supplement feeding spirulina into the water column asap to increase the pod population)
jester goby
yellow tang
foxface lo
powder blue tang
blue jaw trigger pair

Hey! Thanks a bunch! Do you have a suggestion for a fish that’s like lyretail anthias, the feeding 6x a day is a turn off. I’m thinking maybe yellow assessors instead? The max times I can feed a day is 3.

Color wise? Activity wise? Behavior wise? You could maybe do 1-2 more different species of fairy/flasher wrasses (ask @evolved ) for activity and color. Although if you're going for the tight schooling effect, the best option I can think of would be blue-green chromis, BUT only if you have enough hiding spaces so that they don't end up outcompeting each other for places to hide at night, AND you feed at least 2+ times/day so there's minimal food competition.

From what I know of assessors/roundheads, they're more of a cryptic fish. They're colorful certainly, but they won't go out and school like anthias will, preferring to lurk in and near the rockwork.
