I don’t know what to title this as it’s not really giving ideas for a stocking plan. It’s more so the move of when would you add them. The main idea for this tank is it’s designed to be fish I’ve wanted for the longest time. I guess you could say it’s a tank designed for my “Wishlist fish”. The tank I’m wanting for these fish is a 3’x16”x1’ tank. Currently in it is;
Macropharyngodon bipartitus
Stonogobiops yasha
Pseudocheilinops ataenia trio
Gobiodon acicularis
I want to stay minimal with stocking in the long run. Currently I only have one of the wish list moves. Here’s my main wish list.

Now that I’ve tried to explain it in as much detail as possible. You may have an idea which one this is meant for, obviously my show piece species. Now, I have got plenty of experience with Macropharyngodon. I have worked in and out of LFS’s for several years, Macropharyngodon was a genus that passed by quite a bit. So I have experience with trying to get them feeding and seeing if they’re healthy. My main question is, when would you add the Choati? Would you;
A) Wait until the current leopard passes and go for the Wetmorella pairing
Or
B) Go for it as the very last fish and wait for the Wetmorella pairing.

I hope this makes sense, if not then do ask questions and I’ll try to answer them :)

Either or. All of those are going to get along. They all just spend the day hunting and waiting for you to feed them. Macropharyngodon are little jewels. If I drive 2 hours I can get a male for my female bipartatus.

I think I’m going to end up going for the Choati first as I’ve always wanted that species. I’ll also then be able to get an idea of where I want corals to grow out to (I plan for SPS so I want some decent sized colonies).
