Hi R2R,

I have a freshly cycled Red Sea 350 (47 x 20 x 21) and now I need to start adding fish.

I have an idea for fish, but need help deciding on the order to add them and experts to call out where I have made any oversights.

Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Squaretail Bristletooth Tang16.5"Would also try Whitetail Bristletooth or Kole Yellow Eye instead if better suited.
Clownfish2 3"Not % sure which type yet, but I would get a pair
Royal Gramma Basslet13"Might skip depending on Wrasse added
Bicolor Blenny14"Are there other small blenny's to be considered?
Purple Firefish13"Would also try Exquisite Firefish instead
Pink Spotted Watchman Goby14"
Six Line Wrasse13"I would prefer a Fairy (Orange, Ruby Head, or Bluehead) but I don't think I meet the tank size requirements.
Green Mandarin14"This would be added last, and after tank is well established.

I also thought it would be nice to have a small group ... So one of the below groups.

Blue/Green Reef Chromis34"What quantities would I be able to get away with given the other stocking above?
Yellow Tail damselfish52.75"What quantities would I be able to get away with given the other stocking above?
Pajama Cardinalfish33.5"What quantities would I be able to get away with given the other stocking above?

I really like that list.

Tang: Either of those three tangs will be fine. Just pick the one you think looks the best. Add last.
Clowns: As long as they are perc/occ, then any breed is fine. I have seen large maroons/clarkiis take over a tank, so I would stick to the smaller ones.
Gramma: Don't skip, they are great. I would skip the 6 line...more on that later.
Blenny: People like the bicolor. Tailspot is a smaller one that people like. Midas is a good one. Skip starry/lawnmower-type blennies because of the Ctenochaetus genus tang.
Firefish: Yes. Any are good. Another possible 6 line target, however.
Goby: That is my favorite goby species.
Wrasse: Most fairy wrasses will be fine in your 75-like dimension tank. They will be better tankmates than a sixline. They also won't compete with the mandarin for food.
Mandarin: Fine if skipping the 6 line. Add it last, just after the tang.
Group: I like damsels. But for your situation, I like the cardinals best. Many folks are disappointed with Chromis, although some report success with small groups.

Hope that helps.

Thanks for taking the time to reply. I had the same reservations about the 6 line ... but was worried about tank size for the Fairy Wrasse.

Is there a recommendation for when to add the wrasse to the tank?

Look here for an excellent fairy wrasse chart: https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/c...feriority-need-not-apply-1st-revision.322326/

Included are some tank size recs. Good ones to look at for a 75-ish tank would be Lubbock's, yellow fin, exquisite, pintail. Let's see what some of the wrasse folks say about ruby head complex wrasse in a Reefer 350. @eatbreakfast , @evolved , @HairyGary , @OrionN

Generally, fairy and flasher wrasses are good early additions. There isn't anything aggressive on your list, though.

Most of the complex would be okay really. The orange back does stay a little smaller than the others there.

Awesome Thread/Link. Thanks again.

Updated the fish list based on all the feedback … But wanted to include a question on CUC.

Are the any callouts with this list?

I am leaning toward the following CUC:
Shrimp: 1 Fire + 1 pistol (pair with goby)
Crab: 1 blue leg hermit + 1 scarlet
Snail: Netrite, Cerith, Trochus, Astera (2-3 of each)

Any other good CUC to consider?
