I just read the the thread regarding types of fish for specific tanks, very informative.
Just wondering about a long term plan for stocking corals and fish. I'm still in the build phase of a 150 gal reef and I'm curious about types of fish/corals and when to introduce them to the tank. I know this is vague but I'm just looking for info about peoples successes or failures regarding aggression issues or other problems.
Thanks in advance for any info

I have a list of fish I would like to have but I know that certain combinations will not work together and I can't get them all. Just looking for the right combination

Fire Fish Goby
Dottyback (Orchid)
Gramma
Chromis
Cardinal
Butterfly
Angel
Fairy Wrasse
Clown
Tang
Lionfish

Any fish you find that work well together?

Thanks

What kind of coral do you want? If you want SPS only then you can get large Angelfish!

Angels won’t works with a lot of corals. What kind of tangs? Your best bet is to look at a compatibility chart on LiveAquaria and research each fish you would like to keep and their individual needs

The (my) tendency was, for sure, to think fish first and to regard the corals as background beauty.

Just anecdotally, it seems like most people end up flipping that. I'd give at least as much thought to the reef first. Unless there is a "must have" fish that you're planning to design around. Your fish choices will heavily impact your maintenance as well. If they eat the clean up crew, then you are the clean up crew.... and they may take bites of u as well ;Shamefullyembarrased

Thanks for the replies.
