Stocking question

I bought a Red Sea cycling kit to cycle my tank and it says that on day 14 I should add 1 herbivore fish for every 100L of tank. My tank is 300L so according to the kit I have to add three fish on the 14th day. I was thinking about it and I thought it was a bit too many fish to add especially on the 14 of the cycle.

I wouldnt add fish regardless just because the cycle isnt fully done yet. I never take a risk of killing a fish cause a company says you can add something early. I let my tank cycle for a good 8 weeks even when it was said to be done which was 6 weeks. and even then i didnt add fish until the end of the third month.

I took about 4 weeks cycling my tank. I made sure that I could add 2ppm of ammonia and 24hrs later ammonia and nitrite should be zero

Was the rock cycled before you started cycling your tank?
