Have a standard 75 gallon--48" long, mixed reef. I have two main rock structures

This is the list I am thinking about adding and the order. Any input is appreciated. I know this list is too long, looking to narrow it down-- want to maintain a peaceful reef with hardy fish and a lot of variety of color and movement.

Current:
Pair of clownfish

Next ( rock structures)
Pair of Orange Striped Prawn Gobies with Pistol Shrimp
Pair of Yasha Gobie with Pistol Shrimp (under other rock structure)

Next ( in/ on the rocks)
Golden Midas Blenny
red Ruby Dragonet

Next (options for open swimmers):
Helfrichi Firefish
Royal Gramma
Lyre tail Anthias Trio
Flasher wrasse
Borbonius anthias
Yellow coris wrasse
Sunburst anthias

Next (reef "safe" angel or butterfly looking for Input / options Here)
Potters Angel
Bella's angel
Declivus butterfly

Last
Purple Tang

Out of all the fish you listed, I like: purple tangs, declivus butterflies and royal grammas. That's a lot of fish! You mentioned you currently have a pair of clownfish, what type of clowns are they?

It's definitely too many fish...just a lot of the ones I like that I need to narrow down.

My male is a Davinci clown and I can never remember my female...either a snowflake or black ice. I'll try to get a pic. I think I have one somewhere

All the fish are compatible. I've found potters to be a bit more likely to nip corals than flame or coral beauty angels. Declivus butterflies also aren't entirely reef safe either.

Just make sure the tank is covered. You have a lot of known jumpers on the list.

How long has the tank been running? Be sure you have lots of pods before you add the red ruby.

Neptune

Thanks for the replies. The tank has been running for years. I still may shy away from the dragnets unless I found some that ate frozen just to be safe. I do have a screen top.

Any thoughts on the purple tang in a 75? Should I lean toward a bristle tooth? I was planning to buy small and rehouse when it got big

If you have an exit strategy for the tang, then I don't see much of an issue.

Snowflakes look very similar to Black Ice Clowns, I can see the confusion. I believe that Snowflakes are often lighter/a brighter shade of orange.... but that's obviously not a definite indication. I would love to see some pictures :p

So, here is an older pic of them together with my phone...and a second one that is a little bit better of the male Davinci. The lights are out so I can't get a new one. The female has grown quite a bit.

Wow that's a really close call. I would like to think that it's a Black Ice but was breaded with an atypical clownfish, but Snowflakes often have black tales. It could just be a very mature Snowflake. I'm baffled

Yeah I would pick one fish from each category and use maybe two from the open swimmers. A Wrasse and firefish would be nice and a Royal Gramma wouldn't be a problem either. I'd probably go with a coral beauty or flame angel over potters and be sure to add the angel at the end. My flame does nip some corals so be prepared for that with any dwarf angel. I tolerate his nipping because I love him but YMMV

Update:

Started adding fish over the past couple of weeks. So, here is the current list:

Pair of clowns
Pair of Randalli Gobies
White Line Comb Tooth Blenny
Royal Gramma

All are peaceful and settled in.

In the next month I want to add something from these options:
Firefish
Anthias
Yellow Coris Wrasse

I'm leaning toward an anthias Trio. Is that going to be overstocked? It's all kind of "nano fish" so far.

Starting to get cold feet on the Angel. My LPS is doing great and I may not want to risk it.

An anthias trio should be fine without being overstocked with your current stock.

Hope u dont mind if i follow along and ask some questions instead of making my own post because im sticking a 75 reef tank also

Not at all. I am sure the questions you ask will be helpful for me and hopefully others.

I would recommend a scooter over a mandarin in your case. The yellow wrasse eats a lot of pods and scooters are more likely to accept supplemental feedings than mandarins.

Oh thank you i never read that they did that im really glad you said something my LFS gets the scooters that eat frozen so i should be fine and i have a lot of pods i can see them crawling all over the rocks and frag plugs
