Hello! I'm fairly new to nano SW, but not aquariums in general. I have just set up a 10g nano SW, not too much live rock or sand, theres about 9 gallons of free swimming space. I was thinking about putting a pair of Ocellaris clowns and a clown goby? CUC of course, but I do 15% bi weekly water changes and clean the hang on back filter at least once a week. So, my question is, should I put the clown goby in first or the clown fish pair? Would putting both clownfish in at the same time mess up the bioload? Also, what morph would you guys suggest? Thanks in advance!

Welcome to reef2reef!!
I would add the goby first then clowns for territorial reasons . You can add both at once but make sure to do water changes . Morph of clowns is totally up to you .

IMO a pair of clowns shouldn’t be in a 10 gallon.

I was thinking the same thing, my family is insisting lol. Do you think I could make two clown gobies work instead of the clowns altogether? I've read that they don't get along too well but the source i got it from is questionable. Or maybe the clown goby and a single clownfish?

Clown gobies are really hard to pair up . I would just do 1 goby and a clownfish. But you may have to end getting rid of the clown.

I plan on converting my 35g fw when the fish in there die, lol. They've all been in there for several years (5-6) and are ending their life spans. Instead of keeping it restocked i just decided to do salt water so I can put clowns and such in it. Do you know if there are other morphs of clownfish that are smaller than others? I know ocellaris are smaller than perculas but any specific morph?

Ohh lol , morphs are just the coloration and patters that clownfish have , morphs have no affect on size differences

I keep a yellow clown goby and a clown in my waterbox 10g. They’re best of friends added together.

I started in an 8 gallon. First, you need about a pound of rock per gallon. 20% water changes weekly will be best. IMO

If you want to start with a Tailspot Blenny, they are super spunky. You could add a juvenile clown about a month later. They will even sleep together.

Thats so cute! I've been thinking about a tailspot :) they're so colorful!!! I'll have roughly 9lbs later today :) I have 12lbs of livesand for the nassarius'

No lid. I do have the supplies to make one just slacking.

How can I get to making one that fits around my filter?
