I have a 10 gallon nano reef that I just finished cycling (3ppm ammonia drops to 0 in 12 hours). What can I put in it? I want 2 clownfish, 1 cleaner shrimp, and maybe a couple snails. Does this sound good? How should I add them (time wise)?

Agree 10 gallon is too small for 2 clowns

Insider an azure damsel and any type of fire fish.

Colorful and active.

Get 2 juvenile clownfish. They will be completely fine in the 10 gallon for quite some time with no issues. (Yearish) Make sure to get ocellaris or percula only.

Buying fish small just to re home them in a year is not a good plan.

These are our pets and responsibility.

It’s much better to choose fish that will grow and thrive in the available environment.

Live Aquaria lists minimum tank size for fish.

They also have a list of nano fish.

Bear in mind that tank size also has an affect on how many of a species you should keep as well.

A bigger tank. For beginners, these small tanks are difficult to keep up with though it can be done. I have to agree with all of the above. Get a goby OR a fire fish pair.

A pair of ocellaris or percula should be fine since they are the only fish that will be in there.

An ocelaric or percula clownfish would be good options ime. My clown chills in his corner of the tank and is highly territorial with it (he likes pushing my snail out) and it’s only about a 5 by 5 area. If you could get them something to host (like a frogspawn ect.) they would have more than enough space
