So I’m just getting a game plan set now after the tank gets cycle would adding clown fish/pair of and then snails some blue hermit crabs and a tux urchin be to much to start??

#WelcometoR2R!!! Tell us more about your tank so we can provide better feedback. What is the size of your tank? How much live rock? What type of filtration?

Sorry that’s my bad I forgot that. So it’s a 125 gallon tank. Looking at 100-125 lbs of live rock based on what I’ve read. Live sand a inch deep, and will have a protein skimmer in the sump. And as far as how many snails I was thinking 12 nassarius and three blue leg hermits

Snails, crabs and urchin have a smaller output as far as waste goes. Adding a pair of clowns would def be a bigger hit on the bioload. The only concern I see is that urchins can be sensitive to water parameter changes so maybe add the clowns then wait a week for the urchin to make sure the water stays stable?

I think your choices are OK except I'd seriously caution you against the urchin. They can be harder to keep and do better in tanks that are much more mature, like 12 months or more of running.

Good luck and have fun.

So would a couple emerald crabs be better then urchin to start with?? The rest of clean up crew I’d like to add would be a rabbit fish, the urchin, a cleaner shrimp and a serpent star.
