Stolen Rock & BRS -- happy ending

So i was excited to get home yesterday to work on the aquascape for the new Cube i have.
Unfortunately when i arrived home, the package had been stolen off my porch

I emailed BRS to see if they had insured the shipment for any reason, instead i got a response stating an "apology that this happened to me" and that they are sending me a new shipment of rock.

Blew me away that they would replace my order without insurance. BRS has definitely earned my return business.

Just thought i'd share an unfortunate experience turned great by BRS.

Imagine the theifs disbelief when he gets home and opens his stolen package to find out he stole a box of rocks! (Worthless in everyone elses mind except for reefers)

haha, the really odd part was the packing peanuts all over my door step and yard. Makes me think they opened the box on site yet still took it.
this was my first order from BRS, maybe it was a box in a box and the inner one said "Bulk Reef Supply". being it was 30 lbs, they probably thought they scored pretty well.

That's to bad, but usually the people doing that are local regulars, and unfortunately like rats, they get food once you better believe they'll be back for more cheese.

I'd wait with a baited trap and a broom.

Long gone are the days of pkg deliveries w unmolested goods. U have to protect the purchase especially valuable w either a neighbor to accept or use a courier drop off location.

Even the delivery drivers don't want to come onto the the compound. The FBI just wave them through the gates. Nothing to see here. I can't imagine living someplace where I needed to worry about porch pirates.

Sucks but that’s how it is.. once delivered their part is done! I make sure I’m home for all deliveries or get them shipped to a store and pick up with id

Bad situation.....

Here, no package is left in front of the house, most of the times, delivery guy wont even give package to someone else who live on same adress, kid, wife, parents... At least no without phone confirmation (which he probably record) that owner of package give permission to give it to someone else...

Here they slow, expensive, but very paranoid about leaving packages... Sometimes even they demand to see id before giving package
