Hi:
My name is Stolireef and I'm an SPS addict. I've been in the hobby for a few decades but have always had mixed reef tanks mostly because my family preferred LPS and anemones to pretty sticks. I turned 50 this year and decided I was going to do my new tank my way and tough nuggies to anyone who had a contrary opinion. With that in mind late last year after a whole house remodel (another good story) I restarted my tank with only one thing in mind, to keep amazing SPS.

So, here's my setup.
LeeMar 125 gallon rimless with center overflow. Tank dimensions are 48x20x30 (LHW). Running two Radion 4th Gen XR30s. Flow is provided by two MP40's running at 80% Reef Crest cycling between sync and anti-sync every twelve hours. Also have two Tunze 6095s on the back of the tank running at 100%. Trigger systems Crystal Sump, Vertex 180i Skimmer, Neptune DOS dosing system, Tunze Osmolator ATO. Everything is controlled by my Apex.

The tank finished it's initial cycle in early March and I've been very slowing adding livestock. So far, a trio of Lyretail Anthias, a Bangaii Cardinal and a small Caribbean Blue Tang. Coming soon into QT are a pair of midnight clowns.

Current corals include A. Loisette, Strawberry shortcake, Ponape Birdsnet, Bali Green Slimer, ORA Tricolar Valida, Red Planet, blue stag, ORA purple Stylo. Several more frags coming shortly. All frags are captive propagated and all have a known lineage. I'll post some pictures shortly but this is just the very beginning of the journey.

Here's the requisite FTS. Still trying to get the hang of the Samsung S7 camera.

Sounds awesome and I can't wait to see you pictures..

Thanks. The early corals are already showing really good growth and polyp extension. I love watching the corals grow out from small frags. Always feels like more of an accomplishment than buying full grown colonies.

Nice collection you've got started!

Thanks. Wait until you see what's coming. Gotta love Cultivated Reefs. Also will be putting an order in with Battle Corals and Reef Raft in the next few weeks/months. Then again, I've probably jinxed myself and everything will die tomorrow.

New additional. Cultured Reef Icefire Echinata. Way whiter and bluer in person. Can't wait for my DSLR to get here.

ORA Tricolor Valida and CR Electric Myagi Tort. These pictures just don't do justice. Stay tuned for new camera.

Where did you get the green slimer. I have looked at most stores in the valley and no one every has one.

This is actually a PROP coral that I'm backing up for Jason. We usually have a frag or two of these at the auctions. BTW, this is the real Bali Green Slimer. I can't remember the lineage but Jason would know.

Also, I rarely buy corals at the local stores. I prefer online sites. I just think they have much more interesting corals at some of the higher end vendors.

I had the luck of seeing the tank in person, but the corals are looking amazing!

I agree with you on enjoying growing things out from frags, so you feel more accomplishment. I will be happy if I just don't kill off all the PROP corals I got at the last auction!

It's looking sharp!

Thanks John. Right now, the tank is kind of in a sweet spot. Of course, I just completely jinxed myself. I'm sure that tomorrow I will discover a new strain of SPS eating bacteria and I'll have a bunch of pretty white skeletons in a day or two.

Check out the growth on this digi. It was a frag from a friend's tank and was growing out of the water. As a result, it developed a flat top. It's been in my tank for about a month and it now looks like some weird martian digi.

Some new additions from Cultivated Reef. Check out the first shot which they call the Commoner's Envy Poci. Coolest Poci I've ever seen and this picture is exactly how it looks in my tank. Also picked up a huge frag of their Cali Tort.
