That think is a chonk! I've never seen one in my tank bigger than a jelly bean and I think something ate them all because I haven't seen one in a long time.This is a stomatella that's somewhere in my 110g and was a great surprise to find. Did you know their shells are iridescent?
no idea why i said they have 4 holes only, might be because the one i found in the coral tank where i work had roughly 4 holes, i looked it up and depending on species they can have anywhere from 2-9 holes at the top.
that thing i circled on the stomatella/abalone looks to be a pyramid snail if im not wrong, they are a pest that feed on clams and starfish just so you are aware if you see them get them out, unless you dont have any clams or starfish, but i would still take em out anyways.Any given time I see a handful of these in the sump. I assumed they were stomatella snails due to the pseudo shell and long proboscis. What caught me off guard is a few are around 25-30mm. Do Stomatella get that big? Sorry for the craptastic photo but angle was awkward due to how sump is in located under cabinet.
