Seems like a silly question but I am curious what others do. Until recently I used to dose 2 part once per day so this has never come up in my mind until now, but I have changed to dosing small amounts every hour for 24 hours a day and my water change is now due. I know that during the course of the water change it'll try and dose at least once. I could let it go ahead and do the dose but then I could get calcium and alkalinity mixing as the flow through the sump will be off, ideally I could catch the dose in a container then add it manually so it doesn't miss out, or I could just turn the dose pump off to save all the trouble as it'll only miss out on 1ml.
If you dose hourly what do you do during a water change that works best for you?

Turn it off and then test afterwards to see if you are still on target. You might have to dose extra afterward

Makes sense to me considering if I'm removing 30% of my water and replacing it with 30% fresh salt water then I'd also be removing 30% of what has been dosed as well. Thanks for your advice.
