Howdy,

Obviously I can't stop the clown fish from thinking my zoa's are their home... but they just sit in them day in and day out - they sleep snuggled between them and I am starting to feel like it's preventing growth & happiness....

I am going to purchase a BTA for them... however, I wanna contain it to one of those acrylic cups i believe. Where can I get one of them? Or does someone suggest something completely different.

I popped mine into a soup cup container and clipped it to the tank. Took all of less than a day to become their new home. I was a bit rough getting them into the tank with it, but they found it again and even taught my other clowns what the nem was for. I have 4 nems and 4 clowns now. Everyone living all friendly and happy. The original pair was already paired and sexed so I was nervous and didn’t want to add without a nem. So added one for each they split shortly after tank introduction and have been doing well and growing now.

Sorry, I like pics. Lol.

No guarantees they’ll take to the anemone no matter how you introduce them to it. Mine never took to my anemone but they decided they liked my elegance coral after neglecting the anemone for months. Also some clowns are more likely to take to certain anemone species. I just saw a picture of clowns in a clam 30 minutes ago(melevsreef). He has a video showing how he introduces clowns to anemones, but the anemone may need to be settled first. Depending on what you are exactly referring to as far as an introduction pipe or a cup to hold your anemone temporarily, you can always cut the bottom out of a pitcher or something similar depending on your tank depth. Acrylic tubes can get pricy, especially for a single use. You could probably check melevsreef for that too.

my clown hosts my hammer he never touches it but just is swimming around it. I think clowns are pretty set once they find something they like. its like telling a gf/wife they can't have there favorite pair of shoes anymore.

You might try a frogspawn if you want to avoid the possibility of a walking nem. Just make sure you get at least 3 heads or they might stress the coral too much.

I tried the same and they did go into for a bit....

But mine never went back to the nem and my damsels took it hahaha just as fun to watch!

I have a super lushish hammer & duncan.. no dice. they love long stalked zoas

Mine is still loyal to her Duncan. The heart wants what the heart wants.
Duncan as Host (and a couple other hiding spots they took to. Lol)
I will say though, I almost had enough when they jumped in the basket to take the Polletti Jawbreaker or the gold torch as a host. Lol!!!
