Hello! Have any of you noticed a problem when you stopped dosing strontium (via water change or dosing)? I rarely do water chanegs and I typically use red sea calcium since it has strontium (and barium but I don't care about that) but I am wanting to switch to esv-b ionic. Anyone ever noticed any effect of strontium being depleted? Fro my understanding, coral seems to just use it as a filler for calcium so I don't see a reason to keep dosing it.

I run a carx with manmade media so only ca and alk.
I dose esv strontium weekly in my 120 @ 5ml.
It keeps my level at 8-10.
I do not do scheduled water changes either.
I had to dose strontium at 5ml a day to get it in range then weekly.
Im not sure if it does alot but I have dosed it since day one for the last 15 months.
Tank is doing well so I will stay with it.
I also dose DSR ez trace daily.
