In 30 years of marine fish keeping I have never run copper in a system as a staple or constant preventative outside of QT. I am currently in the process of transitioning from a 1000g fish system I used to house fish for our service accounts to a much larger system and the added twist of opening a store front where we would sell many more fish then in the past. We will have 3 separate fish systems. I am being encouraged by many to run copper in the systems or at least some form of preventative. We do have a QT system as well that will be a 1/3 of the size of the sale system. I have noticed that a lot of the fish we have been receiving the last year seem dirtier. That is even from some of our best suppliers over from the past 20 years. Want to provide the cleanest fish possible. Would like feedback from people with experience in this to help us make the decision and formulate a program. Any insight would be much appreciated.
