I am going on vacation and plan to visit a few stores while I am down there, vivid and reef raft were the ones I had planed but I could possibly squeeze another 2 in. Is there anywhere I should definitely try to go?

Part of it depends on where you are staying but here are some good ones in addition to the ones you have...

1. Ali's Amazing Aquariums and Reefs
1842 North Tustin Street, Orange, CA 92865

2. Coral Island
1711 West Chapman Avenue, Orange, CA 92868
I haven't been to this one but always here good things

3. Coral Collection
16515 Magnolia Street, Westminster, CA 92683
(They are newer and their stock isn't full yet but they are good guys and I have enjoyed the store)

4. So Cal Tropical Reef
2495 E. Chapman Avenue, Fullerton, CA 92831
Can't be beat on equipment but has started getting a lot more coral and fish

5. Fish Collection
1158 E Yorba Linda Blvd Placentia, CA 92870

If you want to drive a little further south
6. Capistrano Reef
31896 Plaza Drive, San Juan Capistrano, CA 92675

If you want to drive a litter farther north
7. Age of Aquariums
2642 Cherry Ave, Signal Hill, CA 90755

Age of Aquariums is basically in Long Beach. You could also get a half day pass to the Aquarium of the Pacific. Their tropical section is getting better all the time.

I went to the Aquarium of the Pacific a few years back and had a good time. It was during a cultural day , lots of music and dancing. By the way thanks for the detailed list.

So my trip is going to be a little shorter than first planned but i am planning to go to Reef Raft, Age of Aquariums and Vivid!

Well I didnt get a chance to stop by vivid on the way home because they open so late(11am) the only place I was able to visit was Age of Aquarium. I picked up a Maricultured "highlighter" Acro colony for a good price. They have a decent fish selection, but not so great coral display. They had a very large clam in their main tank, 3ft across!!!
