I feel a 75 gallon reef isn't a good choice for me. It is to expensive I can't afford to replace something like the light in a reasonable time(less than a month). where I want to store it gets really cold/hot. Is there anything I can do to protect it. Or should I find a different spot?

Thanks for the help :)

btw I still plan to have a reef tank just a smaller one.

The tank below in my signature line was stored in a non-climate controlled storage warehouse in San Diego for 13 years. So, I, personally, don't think it matters all that much. Maybe it depends on how hot and how cold...

I don't know how hot/cold the place I want to store my tank will get it has minimal insulation and no heating and cooling

Hot. Cold doesnt matter. Store it dry and with no wet substrate though and youll be fine.
