Storing purigen after regen

Just curious if anyone has stored purigen after regen? Wet or dry? I worry about stuff growing on it if left wet.

If I remember, the regeneration is bleach, right?
So after bleach, you rinse and then store it in distilled water - or dry. I don't see much potential for growth/fouling there either way.
