Will I run into any problems when making ro/di water in advance and storing in 5gallon buckets (some just ro/di water and others salt mixed)?
I have 100l of water that has been standing in my garage in closed buckets for a month or two now, and it would make things super convenient for me to use for my water change now. It would also be extremely helpful if I can do this during the week when I have time and have adequate supply in the garage to use if ever needed. If I do decide to salt-mix them, can I slap the lid on after 24 hours and just re aerate heat and mix with a power head when I actually need to use it?
It will cut down a lot of mixing time that I currently do on my wooden office floor which is right above the house causing some noise difficulties for my family downstairs. I do these things better at night when it is quiet but would like to not be a nuisance and sleep disturbing maniac to my family. So if I can pre mix in the garage and keep it there, it would be easier to just pump up from there using a long hose into my office for water changes which I can squeeze in during lunchtime or weekend afternoons.
Does RO/DI water ever go "off"? Same question for salt mix ro/di water.
Buying a large drum for this instead of using 25l buckets is unfortunately right now not an option.
Thank you in advance
