storm with high winds hitting nyc with heavy rain , well we all dont know how bad it will be , let me know if whose from nyc im in flood zone ! coney island which got ***** by sandy before !

can i plug in my apex to my generator ? , or this is not advised?

anyone ? please ! connecting apex to generator ?

I don’t see issues as long as other electronics worked fine with the same generator. If you’re fearing power loss, though I don’t get a sense this storm should be that bad...you should probably save power for your pumps and maybe a heater.

Been without power in the DC area for 12 hrs. Using 150w AC outlet from the car to run heater and pump on each tank intermittently. Unfortunately I cant just leave the car running all night while I sleep. Gonna be a long night.

oh man.... BEST OF LUCK. bro vtbig you stay awake or if worse comes to worse sleep in your car bro !!!

Reminds me of when I was freaking out here in Florida when hurricane Irma hit. We lost power and I was running my entire tank, portable a/c unit, refrigerator and tv off my generator.

Good luck dude.

Yeah, really. It came back for about 20 minutes and I unwrapped the tank, put the blankets away, put the extension cords away, got everything plugged back into the power strip, and reset the temp on the heaters and then the power went off again. It was a really deflating moment, but it came back on again about 15-20 minutes later and has stayed on since.

Another night like last night would have been really challenging.

There's folks in the local reef club still without power here and might be for another day or two. Wish there was something I could do to help out, but I don't have a generator or any battery powered equipment to lend out.

I'm in Virginia and going on 48 hours with no power, essential life support running on a generator but I have still lost my magnificent foxface. Very stressful times, haven't got much sleep.
