Hello guys. Ineed to ask a stupid question.here goes.
I recently had a accident in my tank i was doing water changes on a 5 gallon container wen i realize the hose was out of a container for about10 minutes. Yea big problem so i star to clean the water but i can't clean under the 90 gallons tank so all that wood the stand is wet in the water wen i put my hands inside i feal a little tingling like a voltage. What can i do pls any. Ideas??? Thx in advance

When you put your hand where?

Are you saying the "tingle" is outside your tank?

I'm confused.

Run the AC for a couple of day real low and that will get rid of the moister. You can also get damp rid and that will get rid of the the moister faster in the room. What is most likely happening is that the moister is causing a short and you need to check you grounding of the electrical from the system to the wall to make sure everything is grounded.

Inside the tank like a voltage low but it is voltage and i dont know were is coming from i dry all floor wood but the water Inside tank still has voltage

It may sound stupid but if you have any cuts on your hand and you go by salty water you also have tingling it's weird I know.

Add a ground probe in the tank and make sure you are on a GFCI protected electrical circuit. If it is not plugged into a GFCI circuit you can buy portable GFCI's that plug into the wall at any good hardware store. Do not confuse outlet strips with a circuit breaker button on them with a GFCI, they are two entirely different things with two different purposes. Your life could depend on this.

Is this it?

AZdesertrat gave some solid advice. Add a grounding probe. Be careful with which GFCI you use. I installed one on my tank and it would constantly trip. Many of them are way to sensitive.

Check all your tanks electrical equipment for salt creep or signs of water damage. Start in the area where the hose was placed. When it plopped out it more that likely sprayed something with water causing damage.

If you find nothing there start troubleshooting the parts of your system. Unplug an item and check for stray voltage. Go down the list until you find what exactly it is. Start with cheap pumps like mj1200s ext. Everytime I've had a stray voltage issue it has lead back to a small pump that's submerged.

Yes. On my 16G nano I use one similar to the one on the left. For my 100G I had a dedicated 20A GFCI protected circuit installed.

I have had issues with electrical leakage from Rio and Quiet One pumps and many different heaters including popular brands like Visitherm and Ebo Jager. I don't use any of these in my systems anymore.

I always make sure my outlet strips are mounted up high on the stand and all cords have drip loops in them so any water will drip down away from the outlets.
