just wondering if anyone has ever used a coffee filters to strain kalkwasser

I have not, but it sounds in theory like an interesting idea to rid my ato of that annoying white precipitate.

You'll still get some precipitate later as CO2 enters the water and forms calcium carbonate (unless it is tightly closed somehow). A simple trash can lid often does not prevent a skin of calcium carbonate from forming (IME). :)

Makes the kalk taste like coffee! Yuk!

I think the filtering action might just cause more air/kalk mixing so you precipitate even more.

Are you using a conductivity meter to verify saturation of your kalk?

Have not tried it was just thinking if it could work.
Maybe if it worked u could use it right away

Yes, you could. I make up 120 gallons at a time, and use it over a month, so allowing it to sit overnight isn't an issue for me. :)
