I encountered this first three weeks ago. During those three weeks I have lost the following livestock:
-majority of snails
-Coral branded shrimp
-sea urchin
-several reef hermit
-Hammer coral
-GSP
I have taken samples to my LFS and tested my water myself. Everything seems to be perfect.
My tank levels are as follows:
Phosphate: 0
Nitrate: 0
Ammonia: 0
PH: 8.4
Salinity: 1.026
I have also tested for heavy metals and tested negative.
Tank setup:
The tank has been set up for 9 months. It is a 55 gallon tank with a 20 gallon sump.
Anyone have any suggestions on what this could be? My other coral is not looking happy and worried that more stuff will die.
Steps I have taken:
Run phosguard
Dosed fluconazole
Manual Removal (it is back the next day after it is brushed off)
2 day black out period
