This was a hitchhicker on some live rock I added to my tank. At first I thought it was some form of algea, as it looked like a tiny peice of bright orange leafy thing. It has grow into this, and flows like soft coral....Anyone know what this is?

It's a macro algae most likely not an LPS. An LPS will display a skeletal structure at some point, either at night or during water changes, no skeletal structure and it's not a stony coral.

Could be Neomeris.

Could it be a soft coral? The reason I'm asking is because it's "leaves" are now puffy.

Are there different types of Neomeris? I Googled it, and what I have doesn't look anything like that. It's not stringy like spagetti, it has a more puffy cloud like shape. Idon't knw if I should let this grow, or get rid of it. I don't want something that will take the tank over, or harm my corals.
Thanks for your help.

So sorry was not paying adequate attention, nope it's definitely no Neomeris that is for sure.

Perhaps a type of Halymenia, I doubt it's a soft coral.

You are correct. It is a Macro algea. I found a pic when googling. I'm pretty sure I found it. It looks just like Nemastoma.
Thanks again for your help.......I think I will hang on to it.:)
