Strange creature??

I have been in this hobby for thirty plus years & have never seen this before. While doing a freshwater dip on a few new additions before placing in QT I found two of these on the bottom of the container I used.
Never seen this before. Anyone have a clue??

What part of that photo is the critter? Both tapered ends and then the larger diameter middle? Does the forked type structure to the left belong to it?

Were you dipping fish or coral?

I was dipping fish not coral. It looks like some type of shrimp with pinchers.
 
My only guess is something the fish was eating before being caught. It's hard to tell from the photo.

No I didn't keep them. There was two. One came off of each angel. Sorry about the bad pic but it's zoomed in at the max when I took the pic & then zoomed in again to actually see what it was.
 
Too bad, I should have asked earlier, I would have taken it to work and looked at it under the microscope.
