Just about to go to bed turned all the lights off and noticed this strange flashing lights coming from my tank, if you look that centre of the video you will see what I mean.
When shining some light on the area it's stopped flashing all I could see was a plain piece of rock with a very tiny hole in the area which I think it may of been coming from.

It's a polychaete. So cool. I've never had the opportunity to see it in person.

EDIT: I should expand upon that, just in case you want to read about it... it's bioluminescent flashing.

Thank you ,i've been doing reefing since the mid 70s and never come across anything like this and thought I was seeing things out first LoL[emoji846]
I'll have to see if I can find some pictures now I know what it is.

I haven't seen it in 20 years, so they are indeed rare. There's a few varieties that do it, but a lot of times they're syllids. They also do it for different reasons, but one of the main reasons is to say "Heeeey Baby. You wanna go on a date?".
