The clear flatworm is an Amphiscolops. They are harmless. All the other common ones have the ability to become a nusisance, but not this one. He's the good guy out of the bunch.
The little orange guy is an Elysia sp., probably an obtusa or flava (which some believe are the same critter). He's harmless. They kind of just die out in our tanks.

My system is loaded with them. I love them. Really cool. The eyes glow in red light. Watching them move is cool. I recently got a few planaria and treated with flatworm solution. I perposely saved a buch of these to put back after treatment. Lol. They are harmless!

I'm wondering if these "clear ones" are different than the other "clear ones". We're not going to be able to get an exact ID on all flatties, but it would be nice if we could say they are from a group that behaves like X, Y, Z.
The clear ones I see in small numbers are super clear, always have the bulbous shaped "heads" and often shows "flaps" curling inward. There's usually a pile of little copepods seen in their bellies.
These pictures I made into thumbnails for another project, so I'll try and find the larger files.
Then there's what I call the "other" flatworms.... the ones not as bad as some of the others... usually they are tan in color. I'm sure it's due to a difference in diet, amount eaten or light available.
These I've seen in higher numbers....
Yours Wiz, are clear/white, but are more similar to the brown lot in shape and numbers.
What are your thoughts?

I have the smaller brown ones as well. These are defanitly larger and look most like the first pics. Keep in mind that the ones in the cup were caught after a few drops of flatworm solution went in and they let go of the macros. They were caught while freefloating and irritated. Which might explain the slightly odd look. I am 99% sure they are the clear ones
