Strange issues with candy cane

This has been going on for a while now. Probably 4 weeks before the swap.

My green candy cane just looks sad and poofy. Water parameters were spot on. I say were because these past week or so my calcium is off the charts high. Could have been the fact that I was at the bottom on my BRS mix or something. I can't attribute the calcium being too high to the candy cane funny business. My other blue candy cane is totally fine. Everything else in my tank, is happy and thriving. Just this dude. Any clue?

something picking on it? my clowns did this to a candy cane one time trying to host it.. it was pushing the meat against the internal calcium structure and damaging the tissue..

Not that I can tell. Unless fish swimming by it are doing it. Never thought about that. My clowns host a frogspawn that they never leave a 2in safety zone from it.

How close to your dosing area is the CC? Reason I ask is I too was having issues with my neon CC, some tissue recession and pinched looking polyps. I surmised that I was dosing to close to it. Several WC over a 2wk period and moving it to a lower light, away from dosing area did the trick.

I dose in my sump and the return is on the opposite side of the tank. I have a frag of this "colony" that was never near this one and its doing the same thing too. Totally strange.

my clowns decided over night one time that they would leave the 10 inch pagoda cup they hosted and they started ramming the candy coral. only hosted for a day or two then went back nut it was enough damage for them to kill it and my flower pot also.. little butt heads.\\did you recently do a water change or add in GFO or change anything that might have had dust particulates in it? i didnt rinse GFO well enough one time and killed off $500 in corals.

no major changes in the tank, minus a move to a new wall. this was going on before the move however.
