No idea what it is. Started growing spontaneously on my 2 year old rocks. Could it be a baby bubble softie? I have others in the tank

I'm a reef newb so take this with a grain of salt (pun intended), but possibly majano anemone?

Update... this couldn't be what I think it is? It's starting to look like a Euphillya..

1st couple pics look like a nem. Is the base hard or soft? See if you can feel a skeletal structure.

I have some mushrooms (what i called a bubble softie) in the tank already, but they were never anywhere near this rock. Can they spontaneously spread like this?

As weird as it is, a piece could have drifted off and landed on the rock. That piece could have migrated to that area and settled. You just never know sometimes.

Looks like gracillaria anemone

Isn't that a genus of red macroalgae?
Yes. Not what I meant- Id like to know who had the bright idea of spell correct??
I meant Corallimorphus
