Strange question

I just did a water change, and changed my filter sock. About 30 minutes later I was on the computer and I felt a sharp pain in my finger. I looked down and there was a cluster of tiny white hairs sticking out of my finger. ANy chance that came from my filter sock? Last thing I want is these things floating around in my tank, they were barbed at the end..still hurts:cry:

Might of have a bristleworm or fireworm in the filter sock. I notice them in my socks every time I change them.

Thats a relief, probably stuck in the old filter sock. Hurts like hell, reminds me of the nettles found in england.

It helps to put your finger in vinegar if you get suck by one. It dissolves the bristles and usually takes away the pain and it won't swell up after. I react bad to bristle worms. My fingers swell up and later they blister where I got stuck.
