Hi guys!
My new system is running since november 2014, and I introduced some sps frags 2 months ago.
Some of them have a big body polyp, and I don't know why.

I'll show an example,
Acropora Granulosa

I never saw this before, and don't know the whats wrong.

Anyone can help me?

Thanks

Never seen this before, maybe someone else might have an idea [HASHTAG]#reefsquad[/HASHTAG]

I have seen this a couple of times (not I'm my personal tanks) and I have yet to find any reasoning for it. I have heard some people blaming it on excessive amino acids so if your dosing maybe cut back. It does appear to look a lot like the stag that was spawning in the previous posters link as well. Following along...

Interesting, when does it exhibit this behavior most during the light cycle? Or is it all the time?

i had this before.

i got the bruce jenner stick and placed it next to an angry goni. oh wait. wrong story.

that is pretty funky looking though.

I think they are not spawning, because my millepora pink have the same issue for over 6 months, and this millepora was fine in the previous tank.

Bones
About the amino acids, I dose only 8 drops per week of CoralAmino (Brightwell), I think its not too much. And I have 260g tank, 60g Sump, 15g Fuge, 40g Frag Tank.

Kireek
Calcium is 420, its not too low, I dose reefsnow(brightwell) and marinesnow(TLF) 5ml every other day.

My tests of PO4 and NO3 passed the expiration date, now I'm waiting for new ones.

Hybridazn
This behavior is it all the time.
