Strange thing living on my snail!

Hey guys!
Managed to film this wee strange thing that lives on the shell of one of my snails, ive notived the shell before but never seen anything coming out of the shell, but tonight i managed to get it on film, There is one bigger one and then a smaller one on top of the bigger triangle shell, was very strange to see 2 extra mouth cleaning the from glass! ive got a few still photos as well, Please excuse the sound on the video, i was watching the Simpsons at the time and forgot to mute the tv. Is it a limpet?? Doesnt look like its bothering the snail at all.

The Simpson! haha i was in a state of suprise at seing the wee weird black thing that i forgot to turn off the TV while i recorded!

haha I should have known it was homer screaming like that. What episode? Doesn't seem like there's much activity in this forum. You may try reposting this in a different area. Maybe the Beginners forum. Maybe you'll get a response there?

Actually looks like a smaller snail on a larger snail. A baby maybe? beats me.

I have no idea what episode it was, The tv was just one for background noise Yeah am used to waiting a few days for replies in this forum, Ive never seen a black snail before, But it could be!

I've seen black snails before, but I forget their names. It really just looks like a snail on a snail to me. Did you try to pry it off?

I didnt try to pry it off, Its been on that snail for about a month now and its never moved, So if it is a bad snail it wont take me long to hunt it down lol

Not seeing very clearly but possibly just a Vermetid Snail growing on the other Snails shell. Have had it happen a few times to mine.

The snails shell is a perfect little triangle, With a conch like trunk and mouth on the black thing!

Well for whatever reason I can now see it better and will say with some confidence that it is a Limpet.

Looks like mini conch whose shell is fused together.

I've looked at lots of pictures of limpet mouths and they look more like the snails and less like an elephant kind of trunk. (conch's look like that though) Pretty cool discovery whatever it is.

Its defo got a small trunk with a pinky coloured mouth, Was very strange to see 3 mouths eating away at the glass when i was just exspecting the one snails mouth lol
