I have a colony of zoa's that seemed to be always seem to be irritated .This hard green crust has always bothered me. I took some tweezers and busted it open and here's what I found. Also looks like eggs inside of the hole . I clean out best I could and freshwater dipped . It's now in a container. In QT until I can set up a true QT .

the small thing in the side of container is a small feather duster out of his tube,,good guy,,the other thing with your arrow
pointing at it looks to be a sponge of some sort ,,another good guy,,sad to say the feather duster is not going to make it..
'nice plump colony of zoas,,what kind ?

They all came out of that green hard crust that I popped. Something is irritating them constantly. So I popped it open and cleaned it out.

I am not really sure. I will try and post a pic when they are open. They are orange and Greenish tips. I am terrible at remembering names. I recently got back in the hobby. It wa hard enough remember scientific and Species name. ow we have so many names I cant keep up. Lol I will have to post here or on the main page and see if someone knows.

They are still a bit irritated .not sure of the name.

Yeah that last one I posted is healthy and happy .it's completely filled out in less than 2 months .It's about to spread on to the rock I have it sitting on .it has babies on it's bottom .I need to attempt to frag them .

Eagle eyes or watermelons. If the skirt is green in person then watermelon. If the skirt is yellow, eagle eyes.
I think they are on the green side .So watermelon.

Thanks .I'm recording these names in my aquarium app . That way I'll know in the future .I hope that fire and Ice makes a comeback. It's looking better today. It had a baby aptasia on it. I got sidetracked with the other things on it .I got it with tweezers best I could. It was between 3 polyps. Ughh

Aptasia between polyps is no fun. We tried everything. I removed the frags and my wife held a bright led light and I slowly cut away the aptasia with s hobby knife. Worked well but have to be very careful.

I think I replied to your thread. It was so difficult. I had to have my lady do the same. I couldn't find it after I pulled it out. I hope that is what was irritating them .
