Strange white ball

would anybody happen to know what this might be? Good or bad? I sat down to look at my tank and noticed it behind my Duncan's.

Yea this is the first time I have seen it, I will keep an eye on it and see if it moves. Should I take it out to be safe or is it ok staying there?

I really don't think its anything to be worried about, looks like a simple sponge. If it makes you feel better you can always remove it When in doubt it doesn't hurt to be cautious in this hobby. I know for a fact that my third glance at that frag and annoying the employee at the reef store has saved me from introducing a pocket of hidden pest eggs in the past!!

Yea I know what you mean, I would really hate for it to be an egg sack. Especially after the wwc live sale that I went a little crazy on.
