Stranger Things - - Spoilers theories discussion

Just finished season 3. I think Hopper is the American at the end. The Russians referred to him as that previously. I bet Hopper survived the blast, somehow, and was incapacitated. The fleeing Russians captured him and took him to Russia.

And there we have it. Hopper climes down the ladder and runs smack into the Russians. After fighting the Russian hulk, he’s got nothing left but a cocky smile. Off to Russia.

I think we spoiled Season 4!

It took me a while to get into the show. Honestly, episodes 1-3 of season 1 left me not really caring what happened to anyone in the show. No connection. However, my wife and friends told me to keep watching... now I'm hooked and in the middle of season 3. :D

It’s definitely addictive to us millennials.

Is this show really worth starting, I know this is a crazy question to ask in a fan club thread. But be honest!!

Stranger things was good. But Dark really got my attention. Kind of the same concept.

Hah, I was just thinking of posting this exact comment!
Although in many ways the two shows are very different.
Dark is, well, very dark; Stranger Things, not so much.
And the enemy in Dark isn't monsters or Russians, but time itself.
I'm about halfway through season 2.
The complexity of this show and how it all holds together is stunning.
It's very hard to do time travel shows well, as the inconsistencies build up, but not so with Dark.
And unlike so many mind-bending shows (looking at you Lost), Dark actually answers the many questions it poses.
Just realized a few minutes ago that certain key elements in the show are based on real-world artifacts, too.
Read recently that season 3 is a go and it is planned to end the story. Fantastic news, can't wait.

To anyone starting to watch Dark:
Give it 4 episodes before you decide it isn't for you.
The first few episodes pile up a lot of unanswered mysteries, which could be a turn off.
Also, at some point, get yourself a guide to the shows many characters; you'll need it.

I do like dark stuff!! Il have to check em out
Watch them both for sure. Dark and stranger things are both amazing.
black mirror and haunting of hill house are also really good.

Dark sounds scary. What kind of scary? Jason vorhees kind of scary?

if you guys like dark (not the particular show, just dark shows) mindhunter s1 was really good and s2 just came out. true detective s1 (ONLY s1 don't get lured in by the other seasons) is all time great too

i definitely recommend stranger things, it's a good show. s1 was epic, s2 and s3 not as much, but i still liked them. the only thing that stood out to me as bad for s3 was the hopper and joyce romance thing, still cringing. the steve and robin thing was cute with a twist. creators must hate will because he's either a zombie or gets to touch his neck all season

Mindhunter was good, I’m looking forward to the next season.

No, nothing like that. There are a few deaths, but basically no gore.
It's a much more 'thoughtful' kind of scary.

the steve and robin thing was cute with a twist.

I liked the Robin character quite a bit, and the actress playing her.
Didn't realize until after I'd watched the whole season that this is why she looks familiar.

It’s weird I like dark, but not scary! If that makes sense!!

I just saw that explorers was on prime. One of my favorites. Young Ethan hawks and river Phoenix is good 80s stuff. I think Ethan hawke is more active behind the scenes and writes books these days.
